Dear Russ,
Thank
you so much for bringing the Les Elgart orchestra
to our school. Your performance helped me imagine
how it used to be in the days of the big band era.
My students had a wonderful time listening to the
group and had a lot of strong compliments to give
afterwards. It is important to preserve this style
of music in a world where "mindless" junk is all you
get exposed to everyday. Thank you again for a great
evening of good music. The students loved the fact
that several of your band members actually watched
them perform their set of music and had good comments
for them. That showed a lot of class. What I mean
is, it did not feel to us like this was "just another
gig" for you and your guys.

I also enjoyed you talking back and forth with the lady in front of the stage. It was funny when she was on the phone and you were conversing with her. Nice crowd too!
